FC 27 Crashes on Startup After I Added an Overlay
Closed thread Closed by archiveFC 27 was launching fine, then I added another overlay app and now it closes before I get to the menu. Could be a coincidence, but the timing is suspicious.
What's the least annoying way to figure out which app is causing it? I'd rather not reinstall the whole game straight away. Also, please don't tell me to turn off every security feature on Windows just to get it running.

Replies are closedStart by closing the new overlay and test again. Change one thing at a time or you'll have no idea what fixed it.
Verify the game files through the launcher after that. It's a quick check before doing the nuclear reinstall.
Update your graphics driver if it's behind, then reboot. Boring advice but it fixes a surprising number of weird launch issues.
Check the game's error message or Windows Reliability Monitor too. "It crashed" is a symptom, not the cause.
And yes, don't disable Defender or anti-cheat protections just because a random comment says to. That can make a bad situation worse.
